Artist’s Statement

I have been an artist and creator most of my life. My love affair with art began at a young age when my babysitting uncle let me peek into his sketchbook. I was mesmerized by his drawings and tried to copy them myself. He eventually bought me my own set of supplies and I have been hooked ever since then.

Over the years, I have explored many styles, mediums and subject matter. I tend to favor illustration and painting the most. When creating fine art, I prefer to work in collections exploring a specific theme over a significant period of time.

I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s. Much of my work is influenced by my California surroundings, mid-century modern design and popular culture from my childhood.
